What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Alyssa and Eric wanted a wedding that was fun and glamorous, and they nailed it. Their black and white winter wedding was bursting with white florals and glittering disco balls, which spilled off the tables and shimmered down the aisle. It was such a fun way to acknowledge the winter holidays without feeling like a Christmas party, and it was clear from early in the day that this party crowd was going to dance the night away!
Were there any special gifts shared between the bride and groom?
Eric gave Alyssa the most beautiful diamond bracelet, and it’s hard to top diamonds – but Alyssa did it, with a puppy! Eric recently lost his beloved dog, and Alyssa surprised him with the cutest, fluffiest, English cream golden retriever puppy on their wedding day. The couple chose not to see each other prior to the ceremony, but they did a “first touch,” where they were on opposite sides of a gate, back to back. When Eric reached out his hand for Alyssa’s, he was shocked to find a puppy there instead of her hand. Tears flowed immediately and it was so special to photograph the very first moments between Eric and the pup who will surely be his best friend for years to come.
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
Not only did Alyssa and Eric throw a black and white winter wedding, but they also invited their guests to join in the theme by wearing all black. It was beautiful! Every single guest complied, and it really made the event look so cohesive and beautifully styled.
