What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
It’s not really a single detail, but I have a strong favorite thing about this incredible, luxurious backyard wedding. Not only was this her wedding day, but it was also Sarah Grace’s 30th birthday! As if they needed more reasons to celebrate, the day was peppered with birthday cakes, surprise celebrations, birthday hats, and more. It was such a festive and colorful part of the day, and I loved it. More birthday weddings, please!
What made the wedding venue special?
Sarah Grace and Mansfield wanted an outdoor, waterfront wedding reception, and they knew the perfect spot – the groom’s family’s property across the bay from downtown Pensacola! This beautiful land is full of giant oak trees dripping with Spanish moss and has the most beautiful waterfront with views of the sunset, Pensacola Bay, and the city itself in the distance. It was special because it was so beautiful, but even more so because of the property’s history with Mansfield’s family.
Was the exit exciting and unique?
Sarah Grace and Mansfield’s luxurious, backyard wedding was HUGE – over 400 guests! Their reception was planned in such a graceful way that allowed so many guests to stroll, sit, eat, and drink at their leisure, without having to wait in long lines or stand because they couldn’t find a couch or chair. By the end of the evening, there were still tons of people there, and they all lined up to cheer and wave sparklers as the bride and groom ran through. But even better, once they cleared the sparkler tunnel, Sarah Grace and Mansfield ran through the “Tunnel of Love,” a huge tunnel of twinkle lights that served as the official entrance and exit to the reception. At the end, there were cold sparklers ready to give the couple one last celebration before leaving.
