Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
Kristen’s favorite color is purple, and she picked the most beautiful shade of lavender for her flowers and bridesmaids dresses. Pale purple is such a beautiful color on the beach – it pops and stands out, but also doesn’t feel at all out of place, especially during one of our gorgeous watercolor sunsets!
What was the couple’s session like?
Short, sweet, and fun! At this gorgeous purple Sandestin wedding, we snuck in two short couple’s sessions. First, immediately after the beach ceremony, we took advantage of the bright sun and clear water and created some beautiful beach photos (much to the delight of the many beachgoers sunning themselves that afternoon!). Kristen and Lincoln moved back to the bayside of Sandestin for their reception, and we snuck outside for a few minutes just as the sun was dipping below the horizon, leaving the prettiest pink sky behind. I love wedding schedules that allow for variety in portraits, and I’m thrilled that Kristen and Lincoln have such a varied set of photos.
Was there unique transportation?
Yes! As a surprise for the bride and groom, Kristen’s parents rented the most incredible vintage Rolls Royce – a 1962 Phantom V. It pulled up during the reception and the guests loved getting to see and touch such an incredible vehicle. It was the best surprise!
