What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Chelsea and Luke planned so many personal touches throughout their wedding day, and it’s honestly hard to pick just one. So, I will pick three! First, I ADORE the custom, giant crossword puzzle they had set up in the beautiful fountain courtyard at Supposey. The questions were all about their relationship (e.g, “How many kids do Luke and Chelsea want to have?” or “Where was their first official date?”). Their guests could enter the answers using expo markers, and by the end of the evening, the crossword was completed and correct! I also really loved the seating chart at this lush, floral-filled blue and white wedding. As guests entered the reception space, they were greeted by a large wall, covered with flower boxes. The flower boxes were full of gorgeous cut flowers, and custom wooden “flower” place cards. The guests found their name in the “garden,” and it was such a beautiful display. Finally, I loved that Chelsea and Luke named their tables after the national parks they have visited together – such a cute way to incorporate their personalities.
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
The bride and groom chose not to see each other prior to the ceremony, so their First Look took place as Chelsea was walking down the long aisle in St. Paul’s. Luke had the best reaction – he laughed and cried, and was so obviously smitten with his bride that I may have had tears streaming down my face too.
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
Yes!! There were so many children at this lush spring wedding, and I loved everything about it. The dance was full of grandparents dancing with their grandkids, fathers and daughters, cousins, and more – everyone was so family-focused and it was wonderful to witness.
