What made the wedding venue special?
The Grand Hotel in Fairhope, Alabama is beautiful and was the perfect location for Lauren and Larkin’s dream wedding. They actually booked the elopement package, which meant they could get married at any time or any spot on the grounds. We got to explore the majority of the resort after the couple’s first look, and once we found the perfect spot by a large oak tree, Lauren and Larkin were married, surrounded by all of their closest friends and family. After the couple tied the knot, we got to take advantage of all the backdrops of The Grand, from the oak tree gardens to the pier by the bay!
What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
Love and completely stress-free! Most weddings can bring on stress for the couple at some point in the day, but that was the exact opposite of what Lauren and Larkin wanted for their special day! The couple chose to have such a small gathering because they didn’t want to feel any stress throughout the day, and they even told me their goal was to have a “chill” wedding. I can attest that the day was so amazing and relaxed, which made the day all the more meaningful for everyone!
What was the couple’s session like?
So fun! I had the honor of photographing the couple’s engagement session back in May, so I knew that their couple’s session would be full of laughter and smiles! Lauren and Larkin love to goof off with one another, which made for the perfect candids!!
