Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
Locals know that the prettiest time of year to get married on the Gulf Coast is October. The days are cooler, but not too chilly. The humidity is low and the sunsets are absolutely amazing. In order to ensure that perfect fall weather, Natalie and Chris chose to do one of my favorite Southern wedding traditions and buried a bottle of bourbon one month prior to their wedding date. It must have worked because it could not have been a more gorgeous fall day for their outdoor wedding at the historic Barkley House in downtown Pensacola.
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
Can we please talk about Natalie’s INCREDIBLE Martina Liana gown?! I am such a sucker for all things timeless, elegant, and sweetly Southern and Natalie’s gown was the perfect combination of all three. That big bow on the back with tails trailing to the hem? I swoon!! She was absolutely stunning!!
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Chrissy Florals brought the magic for their ceremony under the oak tree on the Barkley House lawn! While a gorgeous location for a ceremony all on its own, she transformed it into something extraordinary with delicate white florals hung by white ribbons on its stately branches. It was the perfect focal point for their sweet ceremony!!
