Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Anyone from Florida, or anyone who has spent much time here, knows that somewhere around late May the weather is going to be hit or miss, and the forecast can change on a dime. Vicki and Jeff’s Memorial weekend wedding was forecast to be pretty rainy, but somehow we got lucky and the rain held off for their outdoor ceremony – even gracing us with a gorgeous sunset for their portraits! I was so happy this sweet couple were able to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony under the grand oak tree for their Pensacola Country Club wedding!!
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
I loved that Viki and Jeff chose to do a first look with each other, not because they needed to for logistical reasons, but simply because they wanted to have that time together privately before their guests arrived. I am such a fan of couples finding ways to spend time with just each other on their wedding days!!
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
Viki is originally from Slovakia and much of her family, including her parents, still live there. They traveled halfway around the world to be there for her wedding, and I loved seeing the two different cultures blend seamlessly, especially during the reception when Shaun from A DJ Connection incorporated Slovakian music into their playlist! Everyone got on the dance floor whether they knew the words or not!
