What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
Meghan and Todd are two of the kindest, most authentic humans I have had the pleasure to photograph. They are both witty and quick to laugh, and I watched both of them (many, many times), make their family and friends a priority. They were both so obviously thrilled to be marrying one another, and Meghan was almost bubbling over with excitement. It was a wonderful day, and was exactly the destination beach wedding they wanted.
Were there special details with symbolic importance?
Meghan’s bouquet! One of my favorite things about weddings is hearing the little stories and background, which I overhear throughout the day. This is one of the best! Before she met Todd, years ago, Meghan cross-stitched a bouquet of random flowers with the saying “no rain, no flowers” (by hand, with no pattern, using only her imagination). Fast forward to meeting Todd. The first time he brought her flowers, they were the exact same flowers that Meghan had stitched for herself! Her bouquet was a loose recreation of those flowers, and I think it is so special that there is a real meaning there!
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
This was a destination beach wedding in Panama City Beach, and all of the guests traveled in – it was a wedding and a beach vacation, all in one! Since our beautiful beach was a major draw for Meghan and Todd, the weather was pretty important. Sure enough, they had an absolutely glorious evening. The prettiest, wispy clouds started to roll in during their beach ceremony, keeping their guests cool and providing the prettiest, softest light. As if that weren’t enough, the sky turned pink and orange and ALL the colors during our portrait session, and I am so happy that this couple got the day they were hoping for!
