What made the wedding venue special?
Madelyn and Sam chose to marry one another under the most beautiful stand of live oak trees in the bride’s parents’ backyard. The bride’s family lives on a beautiful piece of property just north of Pensacola, and it was lush with trees, flowers, and open fields. During the traditional backyard wedding ceremony, the minister spoke at length about the first Biblical wedding, and the stunning natural setting was like a garden indeed! Additionally, this wonderful couple was given the gift of the most incredible weather. It was 70°, dry, sunny, with just enough of a breeze to keep any bugs away. It was the sort of day you just WANT to be outside, and it was such a beautiful testament to this marriage.
What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
Both Madelyn and Sam come from large families, and they are both the first of their siblings to marry. There was so much joy and excitement from both families, and Madelyn and Sam were nearly jumping out of their skin and excitement to marry one another. It was really such a beautiful blending of families, and it was incredibly meaningful to watch this couple lean into the covenant of marriage.
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
In one of many nods to tradition, Madelyn wore her mother’s wedding gown! She worked with our amazingly talented local seamstress, Ruthy’s Creations, to update the gown to her taste, and it looked as though it was made for her.
