What made the wedding venue special?
The Bragg-Mitchell Mansion is the most iconic venue in Mobile, and it’s easy to see why! The mansion itself is stately and stunning, with tall white columns soaring around the porches, and grand mirrors and chandeliers adorning the beautiful interior. However, the grounds are as beautiful as the home, with giant oak trees dripping with Spanish moss, and camellias and azaleas in every direction. For this traditional Mobile wedding, the couple used the inside of the mansion for their delicious food stations, seating, and cakes. In front of the mansion, on the lawn, they set up a clear-top tent where their guests danced the night away. It was beautiful.
What made the reception enjoyable?
Emma and Greg have been trying to enjoy their wedding since 2019, and they were ready to PARTY! This sweet couple was originally supposed to be married in the spring of 2020 (take a peek at photos from their intimate elopement HERE). They ended up having an intimate family-only elopement that fall, and they thoughtfully delayed their big celebration until they and their guests could comfortably dance the night away – and they did! As soon as the couple hit the dance floor, their guests followed. Everyone (from grandparents to friends to bridesmaids) boogied until the last note of the last song. It was a celebration that was a long time coming, and it was perfect.
Did the couple incorporate any pets in the wedding?
Yes! Emma and Greg have a sweet golden retriever. While she couldn’t physically be at the wedding, they made sure to recognize her with the cutest little golden retriever figurine that was “innocently” standing on one of their cake tiers – with a chunk of cake at her paws and some icing on her nose! I loved watching the guests spot this little pup while admiring the classic cake. What a great way to incorporate their pet into their wedding!
