What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
Everyone – and I mean EVERYONE – was just so happy to be there to celebrate Devon and Richie becoming husband and wife at their beautiful country barn wedding! It was clear that both the bride and groom are adored by their families and closest friends, and there was such a wonderful feeling of support coming from their wedding community. The reception was full of hugging, conversation, and lots of dancing. My favorite part was seeing so many different generations entertaining each other. The dance floor was packed with guests ranging from grandparents to literal newborns!
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
Cowboy boots! The bride’s wedding shoes were a pretty incredible pair of ivory and turquoise cowboy boots, and they were the perfect complement to her lace illusion sheath gown. Devon and Richie live in the country, and I loved seeing how they incorporated their own interests and personalities into their wedding.
Were there any special gifts shared between the bride and groom?
Definitely, and it was a tearjerker for sure! While planning the wedding, Devon came across a copy of a Bible that had been owned by Richie’s father (who sadly passed away when he was a boy). Richie didn’t even know this Bible existed – until he opened it on his wedding day, as a gift from his bride. It was incredibly emotional and meaningful.
