What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
I loved absolutely every detail that Melanie picked – every single one. From her breathtaking gowns, to her dreamy lavender nail polish and her feathered Badgley Mischka shoes – everything was just stunning. I also loved Ryan’s emerald green velvet coat, which had their wedding date and initials embroidered inside! They even had a rotary telephone at the reception for guests to leave messages for them! How cool is that? They did such a great job of staying true to themselves with every detail, and it made for an incredible wedding.
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
One thing I learned about Melanie is that she has incredible taste in music. I personally share the same love of all genres, and I told her I couldn’t wait to hear her playlist for the night. When I walked into the reception and saw the personalized records on each table, I knew the night was going to be a good one. She had everyone on the dance floor grooving to everything from pop, to rap, and then back to jazz. It was amazing. I personally loved when “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra came on. Seeing everyone on the dance floor, especially Melanie’s parents, was so incredibly romantic.
Was the exit exciting and unique?
Oh, most definitely!! Melanie and Ryan walked through a line of lacy tambourines! All of their friends and family screamed with joy for the sweet couple and showered them with hugs as they walked down the aisle. It was such a sweet moment!
