Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Kaitlin and Aaron’s late November Florida wedding was absolutely incredible. It was clear and sunny, breezy, and not too hot – the absolutely perfect weather for a gorgeous outdoor wedding!
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
For their autumn barn wedding, Kaitlin and Aaron chose deep shades of red and burgundy, accented by creams and tons of greenery. The red popped so beautifully against the backdrop of Ates Ranch, which is all wild meadow, massive trees, and rustic barnwood. It made the wedding feel seasonal without feeling too “themed,” all the way down to the burgundy velvet bridesmaids’ dresses!
What was your favorite detail from the wedding?
Kaitlin and Aaron are a house divided (she shouts “War Eagle” while he is yelling “Roll Tide!”). They were so clever and incorporated their good-natured (but still very serious!) rivalry. They set up an entire table at their reception that was decorated with collegiate memorabilia. The centerpiece was an amazing cake topped not only with the Toomer’s Corner trees, but also Bear Bryant’s houndstooth hat. It was perfect!
