Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
When we arrived at the home where Christina was getting ready for her wedding on the beach at the gorgeous Watercolor Resort I was a little nervous because it had been a steady drizzle most of the morning, with no real sign that it was going to let up. After multiple rescheduled dates due to Covid 19, all I wanted for this sweet bride was to have the ceremony on sand she had been planning for! Just when I was beginning to think we would have to make a switch to plan B for their portraits and ceremony, the drizzle stopped at the right moment, and held off long enough for us to make the wedding she had been dreaming of happen!
What emotions were apparent while the bride was getting ready?
With the unexpected rainy day, I wasn’t sure what we would walk into the morning of their wedding and was so relieved to find Christina, her mom, and bridesmaids all happily relaxing and enjoying the morning. To be honest, I am still not certain that they even noticed the dreary weather outside! Seeing my couples and their families just relax, and let their stress go on their wedding days no matter what may happen is just the very best!
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
Oh my stars, Christina’s niece and nephew were the most perfect, precocious little flower girl and ring bearer I have seen in a while! They were both clearly so excited and proud to be a part of their aunt’s big day, and I loved seeing them get into it during wedding party portraits! They were too cute!!
