What made the wedding venue special?
Casey told me she always dreamed of getting married in her parents backyard, and I absolutely love the idea of her childhood memories leading to her marriage to Tyler. Her family’s home is situated overlooking the water, with a big beautiful green lawn peppered with large oak trees hanging with Spanish moss. It was so special watching Casey walk out the back door of her childhood home, on the arm of her father, straight down the aisle to her new husband. This Shalimar backyard bayfront wedding was so special!
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
Casey and Tyler planned for everything to happen outside, and they did a beautiful job honoring the view with their choice of colors. They pulled colors from their natural surroundings – sage green bridesmaids dresses, creamy white bouquets, and beautiful natural table linens. It truly made the reception look like a wonderland, that so perfectly matched its space!
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
Yes! Casey’s two beautiful nieces were flower girls, and they stole the show in their sequined dresses adorned with stars. There is nothing better than a flower girl wearing a halo of flowers around her head, and they were just delightful.
