Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
It was a perfect early-fall day for Stacey and Jeff’s Watercolor wedding!! Lots of golden sunshine that peeked through the trees just right for their first look, warm enough, but not too humid to be outside for their ceremony on the beach, and the perfect fall sunset for their portraits on our sugar-white sand after their ceremony. We couldn’t have planned a more perfect day for their wedding if we had tried!
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Can we please obsess for a minute over the pool balloon installation from Mingle 30A!! It was such a fun way to utilize the pool at the Watercolor Lakehouse as a decor element for their reception and I knew it was going to be gorgeous after the sun went down. I snuck outside during the reception and wasn’t disappointed! With the cafe lights over the terrace twinkling in the background and all the balloons reflecting in the water, it was one of my favorite reception elements so far this fall!!
What made the reception enjoyable?
Instead of working with a more traditional wedding DJ or band, they opted to have a musician they enjoyed listening to in the 30A area while they were dating play solo for their reception! Geoff McBride was phenomenal (give him a listen if you’re unfamiliar!) and I loved that Stacey and Jeff chose to do something a little outside the box for their entertainment!
