What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Weddings at the Watercolor Resort on gorgeous 30A are always guaranteed to be gorgeous, but I have to admit I get a little extra giddy at a final meeting with one of my couples if they tell me they are working with Myrtie Blue for their event design. Brian and his team have a way of bringing floral dreams to life in a way that is always lush, elegant, and have a couture sensibility to them without being ostentatious. When we arrived to photograph Meagan’s personal details and I saw her bridal bouquet, my jaw hit the floor. Full of the fluffiest peonies I have ever seen with a stunning organic and sculpture feel, I didn’t want to stop taking photos of it!
What emotions were apparent while the bride was getting ready?
I was struck by how quiet it was when we walked into Megan’s condo that afternoon! It wasn’t an uncomfortable silence, but a comfortable, calm atmosphere that was so enjoyable! I loved that Meagan spent the morning with her sister and sister-in-law, getting ready at a relaxed pace without all the hectic rushing about that can often happen on wedding mornings! She seemed so genuinely un-stressed and happy!
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
The week before their wedding, there was a bit of a snafu with the dress she had originally chosen to wear. We never would have guessed though because the week OF their wedding, Meagan purchased a gorgeous Melissa Sweet gown that was absolutely stunning on her!! I was obsessed with the high neckline, delicate lace cap sleeves, and subtle art deco inspired detail!!
