Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Tropical Storm Claudette caused quite the fuss in the early morning hours of their wedding day. The intense downpour caused extreme flooding, but that did not take the smiles off of Aubrie or Zach’s faces that morning. I walked into the bridal suite at 5eleven in downtown Pensacola, and she was just beaming with light and happiness – I knew this was going to be an amazing day. Nothing would stop their happiness on their wedding day.
How did the parent’s react upon seeing their son/daughter?
Aubrie told me how important it was for her to have her sweet grandfather, Poppy, see her first before taking that walk down the aisle. Poppy is one of the most important people in her life, being one of the ones who raised her. My heart dropped when this moment happened. I couldn’t stop crying over how beautiful it was – seeing the pride he had in his eyes for her. Then, during the reception, they shared a dance that had everyone in tears. There was so much love in that room.
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
I loved the fact that they weren’t traditional and chose not to do a cake cutting! They had an AMAZING doughnut table (from the lovely Milton Bakery), and boy did everyone enjoy them. Aubrie and Zach just wanted to be on the dance floor having fun with family and friends all night!
