What made the wedding venue special?
LandShark Landing is one my very favorite Pensacola Beach wedding venues, and this was the first wedding they hosted since the pandemic began in spring of 2020! This fun, beachy, and colorful outdoor venue was back and better than ever. It is situated right on the Gulf of Mexico, is open air on the sides and opens onto the sand for a truly beachy wedding! Kristin and Jason chose to have their dance floor on the sand, next to the fire pit, tiki torches, and market lights, and it was clear that their guests loved feeling like they were on a tropical vacation while they celebrated this fun-loving couple!
What made the band or DJ exceptional?
Chuck Lawson is always a pleasure to work with, and he is unique in that he combines traditional DJ style with live music. He sings and plays guitar and steel drums, but also keeps the party going by spinning classic wedding songs and current hits. And of course, he blows an actual conch shell to signal the bride walking down the aisle – perfect for a beach wedding!
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
So many kids! Kristin and Jason have twin boys, and they (along with their cousins and friends), had a BLAST at the wedding! They boogied it up on the dance floor, played yard games on the beach, and participated in the sweetest family sand ceremony during the service.
Was the exit exciting and unique?
Yes! This New Orleans couple brought the Second Line tradition with them, and exited to the cheers of their guests waving napkins and fun personalized parasols! It was high-energy, hilarious, and fun – I loved it!
