What made the wedding venue special?
The Henderson Beach Resort is an incredible wedding venue in Destin, Florida. It’s luxury accommodations and amenities mean that all of Rachel and Will’s wedding guests were treated to a true resort experience during the wedding weekend, complete with pools, a lazy river, a top-notch spa, and of course, the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Rachel and Will’s ceremony took place on a green lawn overlooking the Gulf, and it was an absolutely perfect day for the view. The ceremony was arranged under a huge white tent closer to the main resort buildings, so everything was both gorgeous and convenient for their guests.
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
The incredible palms! Rachel’s vision was a wedding that was tropical but still monochromatic and formal – and she accomplished this in such a stunning way! Her florist, Supposey, hit a home run with the giant green leaves that adorned all of the floral installations – some of them painted gold! The green tropical foliage was accented by lush white orchids and florals and the combination was so unique and the perfect tropical wedding decor.
What made the reception enjoyable?
The band! Az IzZ is my all-time favorite wedding band, and they sure kept the party going all night long! The dance floor was so packed that it was hard to get into the middle of it to take photos – which is the sign of a fabulous party!
Was there an exceptional vendor?
Megan K. Events always does a wonderful job, both with the design and execution of her clients’ aesthetic vision, but also with the logistics of the day. I overheard a guest pull her aside during the reception and tell her how impressed they were at this “perfect wedding,” and they were absolutely correct!
