What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Celebrations the Florist and Luxe Event Rentals did an absolutely STUNNING job for Lizzy, and Dean’s downtown Pensacola wedding at The Barkley House. In shades of white, cream, and ivory with lush greenery and the most amazing hanging lanterns, their reception tent was perfectly dressed for this mid-spring wedding! My favorite element by far though, was the bridal bouquet of fluffy ivory garden roses and peonies, graceful white tulips, and the daintiest hellebores. Much like Lizzy herself, her bouquet was refined and elegant, and not the least bit ostentatious. Just gorgeous!
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Not in the least! In fact, it poured down torrential rain for most of the day, which made their outdoor reception a challenge to pull off! Fortunately, Lizzy and Dean chose an incredible team of Pensacola wedding vendors who were able to draw on their years of experience and make their dream wedding happen no matter what! Tents went up, umbrellas were secured, and back-up plans were executed! If it hadn’t been for the rain itself no one would ever have known that it was the back-plan at all!
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
Lizzy spent the morning getting ready in the home where she grew up and even got dressed in the room that was her childhood bedroom! Dean’s family is Greek and to honor his heritage, they made sure to include some fun Greek dancing at the reception!! We had the best time watching and photographing what seemed like every single guest getting out on the dance floor for the dancing! I loved that they really managed to incorporate personal details and traditions for BOTH Lizzy, and Dean.
