What made the wedding venue special?
Backyard weddings are my FAVORITE, always. I love that there is meaning and history in the surroundings, and even more I adore the idea that the wedding will go down in family history as something monumental that happened there, and will be remembered often in the space. I assumed that Chelsea and Lonny were planning a wedding in her parents’ backyard due to limitations created by COVID, but I was absolutely delighted to be wrong. As Chelsea’s dad eloquently explained in his toast (still wiping tears), she has always wanted to be married in the backyard. It was truly the perfect spot for such a close-knit family. Of course, it helps that the backyard was already stunning, and the addition of a series of clear-top tents transformed it as if by magic. The swimming pool was covered by clear glass and it was the most incredibly dramatic dance floor, lit by blue lights underneath!
What made the reception enjoyable?
Chelsea and Lonny chose the best Atlanta wedding band, Az Izz, and they were as awesome as always! This band always delivers non-stop energy and great entertainment, and they kept the dance floor full all night long.
Was there an exceptional vendor?
If I were planning an Atlanta wedding, I would definitely call Lexis with The Aisle weddings! She and her team did a fabulous job with the design of this event, but also with keeping everything on track and on time.
How did the parent’s react upon seeing their son/daughter?
Tears, tears, TEARS! Chelsea and her father are very close, and the first time he saw his baby dressed in her floral BHLDN wedding dress, he was a puddle of tears (as was I, to be honest). It was an honor to capture such a special moment.
