What made the wedding venue special?
“Fairhope weddings are always so classic and elegant, and some of my very favorites to photograph! Cheyenne and Alex chose to get married in Alex’s home church, Fairhope United Methodist and it was the first time I had photographed a wedding there. I was blown away by how beautiful the church and grounds were and so enjoyed spending the day there with them!”
What was the couple’s session like?
“One of my favorites this year! Most of the time I would try to take my couples elsewhere, even if it is somewhere on the way to their reception for their romantic portraits if I think it will be better than their ceremony location. Timing didn’t allow for that at Cheyenne and Alex’s wedding though so we planned instead to do everything at the church, and I am SO glad we did! The building and grounds are stunning, and we caught the most perfect sunset light before it dropped below the treeline. Just gorgeous!!”
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“I have three words for you. Caramel apple cake!! Ellen Jay is one of my favorite
Alabama wedding cake bakers (their sweet potato cake is to die for!) and Alex’s groom’s cake was FABULOUS!! I just need more Ellen Jay in my life, period!”
