What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
POSITIVE, HAPPY, rolling with the punches and determination! What a year 2020 has been for all of our couples. Lauren and Charles are resilient and positive! After rescheduling their wedding once, Hurricane Sally rolled around, causing a devastating change to their day. Although Hurricane Sally caused severe damage to the Emerald Coast, it did not stop this couple from getting married. They decided to still have their wedding even though the church or their home didn’t have electricity. That is what I call determination! Through all the last minute changes they were happy to be surrounded by their loved ones! Even those that couldn’t make it due to the storm were still a part of the day through Zoom or Facetime 🙂
What made the reception enjoyable?
Lauren and Charles had plans to have their reception at The Lee House and due to damages had to change their venue at the last minute to Lauren’s parents’ house. Although Lauren’s parents’ house didn’t have any electricity, everyone at the reception was so nice and happy. Their backyard wedding was beautiful! Toward the end of the day, we all heard a big noise from the air conditioner and everyone started clapping and cheering – the electricity finally came on! It was such a happy ending and I’m glad I was there to see everyone’s reaction 🙂
Did the couple incorporate any pets in the wedding?
Lauren and Charles have the cutest and most well-behaved puppy named Jack. He was so adorable in his bow tie! I took several photos of him and you can just see how happy he is that his mom and dad tied the knot.
