What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
At this beautiful Pensacola wedding, there was plenty of joy, excitement and love, as you would expect. But there was also a palpable sense of RELIEF. Caroline and Andy’s original wedding was affected by COVID, and they moved their original May date to August. As August approached, they (and I!) kept a close eye on the situation and debated postponing again. After what I imagine was a lot of difficult decision-making, they chose to move forward this August, and it was an absolutely perfect day. After six months of uncertainty, they celebrated their marriage in front of friends and family and it was wonderful to see.
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
Caroline and Andy’s wedding style was stunningly classic. Caroline simple tank gown fit her perfectly and radiated class and bridal style in a way that was breathtaking. She wore her mother’s cathedral veil and slipped on a gorgeous sparkly belt for the reception, and she looked perfect. Andy wore a classic black tuxedo, complete with a New Orleans Saints bowtie! He looked like the quintessential stylish groom and was the perfect match for his bride’s chic style!
What was the couple’s session like?
The portraits of the bride and groom were so, so pretty. It’s August in Florida, so it was toasty – but the sky and water were true blue, there was a breeze by Pensacola bay, and our sunset photos were fiery and breathtaking.
Did the couple incorporate any pets in the wedding?
Caroline and Andy love their cats (as do I, of course). Although Jamaica and Lucia weren’t technically part of the wedding, we definitely spent some quality time photographing them with the bride and bridesmaids while Caroline was getting ready at their home!
