Was there an exceptional vendor?
Let’s be honest, we are living through an unprecedented time right now and weddings look a bit different than what we are accustomed to. Chloe at Supposey was incredible at rolling with last minute changes, staying calm under pressure, and making sure that the wedding day Megen and Jason had been dreaming of came to happen no matter what!!
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
In 2009, at the beginning of my photography career, I photographed Megen’s best friend’s wedding (HEY GENEVIEVE!!) and she remains one of my all-time favorite brides. Fast forward TEN years, I saw Megen’s announcement of her engagement on Facebook and was SO excited for her, but even more excited when she emailed us with an inquiry for her wedding date! I was so looking forward to working with her and seeing Genevieve again as she stood by Megen’s side, and then COVID hit, forcing the entire world to pivot and make difficult choices. Geneveive was unfortunately unable to attend Megen and Jason’s wedding as planned, but in the most beautiful way, recorded a message as a surprise to be played during the Matron-of-Honor toast. When I say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house during her toast to Megen, I include my own because I absolutely was welling up behind the camera. It was such a beautiful, bittersweet moment, and some of my favorite photos of their wedding day.
Was there unique transportation?
Megen and Jason were whisked away at the end of the night in a FABULOUS vintage Karmen Ghia convertible!! It made for gorgeous photo opportunities and an amazing, unique getaway at the end of their night!!
