Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
The was gloomy all day long, but somehow the mist and fog added to the ambiance and created a feel that was intimate and romantic – I loved it! Melissa and David specifically wanted to take photos on the river dock near her grandparents’ church, and the hint of fog was incredible.
What made the wedding venue special?
Melissa and David met at Auburn and live in Birmingham, but they chose to plan their Fairhope wedding near her family. Melissa and her bridesmaids prepped at her grandmother’s house, which was full of meaning and history. The property was forested and ever so pretty for a quick bridal session before we headed to the church!
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
They were so sweet with one another, and so excited to see each other in their wedding finery! Melissa told me about a little gravel path just behind the church, and it was absolutely perfect for a private moment, with live oaks arching over and creating a tunnel.
