Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
The weather just wanted to make everyone nervous – it poured and poured the morning of the wedding. Thankfully, at just the right time, those clouds moved along and it was the prettiest of days!!
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
When I arrived that morning Nikita told me she had brought an extra detail she wanted to include in her getting ready photos and that detail was her mother’s wedding dress!! She said they had found it just a few days before the wedding day and it fit and she wanted to wear it for a few pictures. It was an incredibly sweet moment and I thought it was incredibly thoughtful for Nikita to include such a beautiful detail in her wedding.
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
Live Oak Plantation is such a beautiful venue making for all the prettiest spots for first looks. The first look was very important to the both of them and they wanted it private, just the two of them, and a little tree covered path by the lake was the perfect place.
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
Nikita had her furbaby Michonne walk down the aisle and she was sooooooooo cute! I love when clients include their fur babies in the ceremony!!!
What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
All good happy vibes! Everyone was so happy for the couple!! They drank homemade wine made from Nikita’s grandparents, line danced all night, and just had a good ol time with each other!! It was the perfect wedding!!
