Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
“The first time I met Mercedez, she brought their dog Gryff to the studio. And instantly I was smitten. So you can imagine my sheer delight when she confirmed that he would be the ring-pup in their ceremony, AND included in their wedding party portraits!! He was the best dog all afternoon and made it down the aisle (in the sand no less!) without losing his parent’s wedding bands!!”
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
“Mercedez and Erick planned an amazing Dia de los Muertos themed wedding and I LOVED their rich, bright color palette full of rich purples, vibrant oranges, and deep fuschia tones!! Definitely a difficult combination to get right and Flowers From the Heart knocked it out of the park!!
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“Can we please talk about this AMAZING cake?!? Four tiers in different shades of purple, with a lush cascade of florals and sugar skulls!! It was absolutely gorgeous and one of the most unique cake designs I have ever seen, not to mention it was absolutely DELICIOUS!!
What made the reception enjoyable?
“Mercedez and Erick wanted a relaxed, fun, BEAUTIFUL atmosphere for their guests and their vendor team nailed it! Their dance floor was full all night and I loved the way guests were able to flow from dance floor, to fire pit, to the bar inside Landshark Landing with ease. They weren’t worried about rushing from one event to the next, and I loved how much time they were able to spend with all of their guests!
