What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“So Mikayla told me before the wedding that she was having a custom cape made instead of a traditional veil. I couldn’t wait to see what it would look like and I was not disappointed! It was so beautiful and such a unique touch. Honestly, that cape made her look like a goddess and it was everything she had hoped it would be.”
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
“The weather was absolutely perfect all day which was a welcome change here in the Panhandle! Their ceremony took place in the outdoor courtyard at 5eleven Palafox and it was beautiful. The ivy covered walls and gorgeous magnolia trees didn’t need much help to bring all the pretty to the ceremony!”
What made the wedding venue special?
“5eleven Palafox is always special in my opinion. It’s simple and elegant and photographs beautifully no matter what the weather. The huge windows let in gorgeous light throughout the day and beautiful reflections during the evening. I know Mikayla and Brandon were so excited to get married there. Everything was just perfect and it showed in their huge smiles all day and all night long.”
What was the couple’s session like?
“We took a stroll down Palafox and found some beautiful spots for portraits. Mikayla and Brandon are so natural with each other so they made my job so easy! They used this time to soak in all that had already happened that day and kept saying how much they love each other. Basically, it was perfect!”
What made the reception enjoyable?
“Toasts are usually a very fun and emotional part of wedding receptions. It was both at Mikayla and Brandon’s wedding. Brandon’s brother had both the sweetest and the funniest words of the evening and I could see how much it meant to Brandon. This was such a special and loving group of people and I was honored to witness their wedding!”
