What emotions were apparent while the bride was getting ready?
“I loved the morning of their wedding. The two of them were so laid back and calm. Courtney laughed and chatted with her friends and family about all the festivities the night before. At the time I could see the excitement building as time continued to pass, which is always exciting to see!”
Why was the stationery suite so exceptional?
“The invitation suite was exceptional! Courtney designed the set which was nothing short of fabulous. The invitation opened up as an envelope containing all the gorgeous pieces. Meredith Rund designed and created a one of a kind watercolor piece of the Alabama Contemporary Art Center that was a focal point of the invite. It was absolutely gorgeous!”
What made the wedding venue special?
“I am a lover of art! I adore a Saturday morning at a museum. When I found out Courtney and Cory were getting married AND having their reception in an art museum, I flipped out! It was the coolest, being surrounded by art and twinkly lights and beautiful decor. Their ceremony was decorated beautifully with palm leaves lined down the aisle leading to a beautiful gold square arch lined with even more greenery.”
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
“The early afternoon decided to give us a little bit of rain so we decided to do their first look inside the Art Center. It was so fun and unique. They stood in front of a piece of work that was ceiling to floor of funky cool wavy colorful snakes.”
What made the band or DJ exceptional?
“Crowned Jewelz was phenomenal! They got the party going, they danced and sang playing all types of instruments and just put on a good time!”
Was there unique transportation?
“At the end of the night it started raining again, everyone was crowded by the exit with all their shakers chanting at the top of the lungs and Courtney and Cory came out in the rain together, hand in hand, climbing aboard the coolest little pedicab riding off into the distance. It was so romantic; the two of them didn’t care whatsoever about the rain. They were together and that was all that mattered.”
