What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“Succulents! Maggie and Josh both love succulents, and they were everywhere at the reception. From the bouquets, to the cake table adornment, to the custom dance floor, to the invitation suite – succulents were elegantly woven into every element of the day.”
What made the wedding venue special?
“Ft. Conde Inn is an incredibly unique venue. It is a historic street lined with grand homes, all fully-restored, with rooms to rent, and part of the venue. For the wedding reception, they shut down the brick street and the guests danced the night away under twinkle lights surrounded by beautiful, columned homes. It was an absolutely lovely way to have a downtown wedding!”
What was the couple’s session like?
“Maggie and Josh love their dogs, so Atticus and Vito met us in the park for their couple’s session. Wearing matching bow-ties, the dogs literally smiled for the camera and elevated the session to a new level of cuteness. My favorite set was when Cole, the groom’s son, snuggled with his furry friends – magic!”
Why was the stationery suite so exceptional?
“Their letterpress invitations were custom-designed, and perfectly matched the wedding Maggie and Josh planned. There was a gorgeous watercolor of the Ft. Conde Inn at the top, and the envelopes were lined with a custom painting of succulents (the same design that was on their amazing dance floor!).”
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
“The groom’s son, Cole, was the best man and was delightful. He was polite and funny all day, but my favorite was his toast during the reception. He took the microphone and told some pretty amazing jokes – “What do you call cheese that isn’t yours?” “NACHO cheese!””
