What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“Lee’s family is Greek and very proud of their heritage – to honor this, Haley surprised them by sewing a tiny Greek flag into the hem of her wedding gown! It was her “something blue,” and I could tell how meaningful it was to Lee and his family that she took the effort to recognize their traditions and background. She was so excited to show the flag to his family – it was so sweet!”
Where there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
“Greek dancing! Haley and Lee hired a Greek bouzouki player (in addition to a fabulous party band they had), and everyone busted out into Greek dancing! The energy and joy was palpable, and it was lovely how eagerly the Greek guests actively included those who were unfamiliar with the traditions!”
What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
“Love. I was brought to tears several times during the wedding by the obvious love and affection that both families have for Lee and Haley. Everyone was genuinely happy to be there simply to celebrate this special couple.”
Was the exit exciting and unique?
“You could definitely say that the grand exit was unique! Instead of a traditional sparkler or confetti send-off, Haley and Lee (and all of their guests!) participated in a classic jazz Second Line that led them through the resort inside for the afterparty!”
