“Situated on the sparkling waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Bay House offers a unique setting for all of life’s most memorable occasions. From Destin beach weddings and receptions to rehearsal dinners, reunions and birthdays, the Bay House is positioned to offer you a one-of-a-kind experience above all else. Privacy and uniqueness are two features that separate the Bay House from other venues. We only host one event per day so the facility is entirely yours and your guests to enjoy. Our mission is to provide a unique, private venue with a hospitable, Christian setting so our clients can realize their vision of their special event. Our staff will strive to make each customer feel as though the venue has been created just for them. The addition of the Cottages by the Bay in 2017 really set the Destin Bay House apart! This community of quaint cottages is within easy walking distance across the street from the Bay House. Featuring seven newly renovated, fully furnished cottages ranging from one to four bedrooms with full kitchens. These accommodations will complete your Destin Wedding Experience. Also for your enjoyment at the Cottages by the Bay are common areas including a pool, fire pit and event lawn.”

What is the history of Destin Bay House?
“The Destin Bay House was built in 1951. We renovated the old 50s home (Erin’s grandmother’s home!) into an event venue in 2010. Over the last eight years our venue has evolved and grown into the perfect place to host your special event. The Destin Bay House has the space to accommodate events both large and small. With a four thousand square foot bay-front lawn and white sand beach area overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay, we can accommodate outdoor beach weddings and receptions of up to two hundred guests. We also feature an indoor dining area offering exquisite bay views with over two thousand feet of space, along with a generous screened porch. Our dock offers deep water mooring for water craft that may be part of your plans, as well as a great photo opportunity with Crab Island in the background.”

Do you have any tips for brides?
“Look for a venue that provides the most “bang for your buck”! The Destin Bay House includes a very long list of amenities, as well as set up and break down of those amenities, in our venue fee. We are very vendor friendly and can work within any budget to create the wedding of your dreams!”

Favorite wedding memory in your space?
“I can remember something special from almost every wedding at the Destin Bay House, whether it be from the wedding day or the many tours and walk throughs during the planning process! My favorite memory at the Destin Bay House will always be my own wedding reception back in November 2015! Can we redo my wedding every weekend?? You’re all invited! I’ve been a Bay House bride and can use my experience with vendors and guests to make it easier on you.”
