What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“This downtown Pensacola wedding was also a New Year’s Eve wedding, and the bride and groom included so many festive details! There was a “party room” at the reception, complete with hundreds of balloons. The reception showcased a display of unique clocks, all set to midnight. The guests wore light up glasses and waved glow sticks as the party approached midnight. There were color-coordinated noisemakers and little silver bells to jingle at midnight, and of course, tons of confetti!”
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
“The very last wedding of 2018 was a rainy day wedding! It POURED all day long. However, the bride and groom shined through it all, even though the weather literally interfered with every single photo location we had discussed. We used the stunning interior of 5eleven Palafox, and the clear-topped wedding tent, for all of the photos, and they feel luxurious and elegant – just like this wedding!”
What was unique about the bridal party’s attire?
“I absolutely LOVED the faux fur shrugs that Haley gave to her bridesmaids! They are all a little bit different, and Haley chose wraps in shades of ivory, blush, and beige – and the group looked like they stepped out of Vogue with the furs casually draped over their ivory gowns. Gorgeous, and perfect for a winter wedding!”
Where there special details with symbolic importance?
“Haley wore the most beautiful blue sapphire ring. It belonged to her great grandmother, and all of the women in her family have worn it on their wedding day. It was something blue, something old, AND something borrowed!”
Was there unique transportation?
“Downtown weddings are the best. This Pensacola wedding was planned so that everything was within walking distance. It’s not really ‘transportation,’ but a jazz band started playing right after Haley and Dalton sealed the deal with a kiss at the end of the ceremony. The band led all 300 guests on a two-block Second Line down Palafox Street, ending up at the reception. So fun!”
