From the time I met Kayla and Justin in our downtown studio, I knew their Lady of the Assumption and Palafox Wharf wedding day was going to be smooth sailing. The two of them were so laid back, so calm and just ready be Mr. and Mrs. St. Romain.
This past Saturday, Rachel and I traveled out to Pensacola Beach of sunny Florida, enjoying the warmth and blue skies on the way, discussing things we were looking forward to in our day. We arrived to a beautiful two-story beach house where we waited for Kayla and her best friend to arrive. Kayla just had this calmness about her and it was such a breath of fresh air. I could see why Justin was head over heels for her. When we saw Justin in the foyer at the beautiful Our Lady of the Assumption in Gulf Breeze, Florida, he was just beaming. His face didn’t stop beaming when she came down the aisle, nor did it stop beaming during mass, or when we arrived at their gorgeous reception venue, Palafox Wharf Waterfront. Kayla and Justin danced the cutest first dance and throughout the evening continued to catch each other’s eyes throughout the night with soft smiles and sweet hugs.
I always love seeing those.
They partied with family and friends, dancing to live music (they did an amazing conga line), as well as enjoying the waterfront view in the late hours of the night. Kayla and Justin departed ever so romantically on a breathtaking sail boat and floated off into the distance, journeying into their new lives together now as one.
I tell you it never gets old, love is always new and beautiful and I was thankful to see it again on their wedding day. Congratulations Kayla and Justin, wishing you many years of love and sweet smiles.
