With each wedding I photograph and the couples I meet, I often wonder what in particular do they hold to be the most important on their day. Every person and couple is different. Some might care more about the party itself, or that everything is perfect and there aren’t any mistakes. For others, it could be to have the most elaborate celebration, the wedding dress, or just the union itself. For Victoria and Jason, and their Emerald Grande Wedding, what stood out to me was FAMILY.
The whole day, Victoria and Jason had family around them. They helped each other with everything, and they were present and there for Victoria and for Jason. I could tell that family was the center of it all – which to me is always a blessing, to have such a strong knit there for you ready to catch you if you fall. The love that surrounded their day was pretty special and the acknowledgement of ones who weren’t able to be there was heart-wrenching. Even though to me the focus was family, it didn’t stop me from noticing how gorgeous their intimate wedding celebration was. Victoria and Jason spent their morning at the Emerald Grande, where they got dressed anxiously awaiting to see each other later that evening on the Captain’s Deck (which will take your breathe away with that view). The rest of the evening was just as sweet as the beginning. Couples dancing together like they had first met (including both the newlyweds’ parents… tear-jerker for sure) and Victoria and Jason looking like they couldn’t be a bit more happier.
I loved being there during your special moment in time. Thank you for having me and I know you guys will be happy years to come.
Much love,
Rachel
