Every day people we meet so many people in our work life (and life in general), and honestly, we don’t remember everyone we encounter; but there are some special people you can meet for five minutes and never forget them for the rest of your life.
Janel and Kevin are two of those people and it’s obvious to me that I am not the only one that felt the way.
On their wedding day, they had people from all over the country who traveled to see them and show their support, and it was a beautiful thing.
I’ll never forget when I first met Janel in our downtown studio; she walked up in her leather jacket and was just the coolest laid-back individual. I loved the fact that their first date was near midnight and the fact that they have the coolest little Frenchie named Abe Froman, Sausage King of Chicago (he has an Instagram that I for sure would follow: @abefromanthefrenchie). I love that they find the time to travel the world and make time for each other, that most of their concerns about the wedding day was about other people, making sure they were fed throughout the night (even me), and had a dog gone good time; and let me just say it was.
Even though I was working it didn’t feel that way whatsoever. From Kevin hanging out with his family at a decked-out beach house on Pensacola beach, to Janel in the infamous Rachel and Andrew Jackson Suite at New World Inn, to celebrating their nuptials at the gorgeous Palafox Wharf Waterfront, made it the best day. The Krispy Kreme wedding favors with them characterize as the Simpsons, the banging Mellow Mushroom pizza they served their guest at the end of the night, to the fireworks that went off while they held each other in the moonlight… just perfection.
I am happy to have met you both.
Oh by the way…
Winter is coming.
Much love,
Rachel
