Four words – Cinco de Mayo wedding.
To say I had been looking forward to Lindsay and Justin’s big day would be an understatement. I was, in fact, ridiculously excited from the moment they inquired with us and our studio manager told me there was a bride interested in me being her AKP photographer.
And I really didn’t know what to expect, but I knew they had chosen an incredible group of vendors and hoped it was going to be fun, colorful, and maybe include the tiniest touch of Cinco de Mayo kitsch to keep things interesting. As it turns out, it was all that and more. Celebrations the Florist created the lushest, most stunning arrangements full of graceful bougainvillea, dramatic coral charm peonies, and elegant black and white striped ribbon accents. I loved the adorable “Tacos, Tequila, Naps” t-shirts (I definitely need one for myself!) the bridesmaids wore while they were getting ready and I really loved the personalized sombreros Lindsay, and Justin surprised their wedding party with during the reception. More than that, I loved Lindsay and Justin, and their family and friends. They were funny and kind, didn’t take themselves too seriously, and made us feel so welcome and appreciated throughout the day.
Lindsay and Justin, thank you so much. My Cinco de Mayo margarita may have had to wait a day, but I wouldn’t have wanted to spend it any other way.
