Early springtime in the South is a pretty magical time of year. The days are a little longer and warm, but not yet sticky and everywhere you look things are beginning to bloom. Azaleas and camellias in every shade of pink you can think of lurk around every corner it seems, and our gorgeous squares full of stately old oaks are even prettier than usual!
Julie and Patrick’s downtown Mobile wedding was the perfect early spring event. I loved that they opted to do a first look and all of their portraits pre-ceremony, so we could take advantage of the dreamy late afternoon light in Washington Square. If you’ve been following along with our blog this winter, you might have noticed that it is one of my most favorite spots for wedding day portraits! It was particularly lovely on this afternoon however, and I was so excited to see that all of the azaleas had exploded with color in just a few days since my last visit (wedding!) there.
Julie and Patrick, thank you so much for trusting us to photograph your wedding day, and just going with it when I squealed about light, and flowers, and dress swooshing (oh my!). Your day was absolutely beautiful and Rachel, and I had the best time with you both. Congratulations!!
