Beth and David live in Connecticut, which is currently locked somewhere below freezing.  They traveled to Pensacola to spend the Christmas holiday with Beth’s parents, we asked me to photograph a warm engagement session while they were in town.  I absolutely loved meeting them and hearing about their families (can’t wait to meet them all at their wedding this fall).  We spent a lovely hour exploring the area right around our studio in downtown Pensacola, and then we headed over the beach for sunset.  I love winter sunsets – they are somehow crisper and cleaner without all of the summer humidity in the air, and beach is clean and pure without the footprints of a thousand vacationers.  I love the way the sun gave a golden glow to the dunes and to this couple; it was the perfect way to highlight the comfort and happiness that Beth and Chad clearly felt with one another.
