I love my job so much. Every week I spend hours with a couple during what are often some of the most emotional hours of their life. I’m with the bride as she slips on her wedding gown for the last time; as she cries when her mother gives her grandma’s ring; as she has a last second moment of panic that her hair or lipstick shade is wrong; as she sees her dad for the last first time as a single girl… We’re with the groom as he nervously toasts with his best friend before attempting to tie his bowtie; as he privately reads a letter written for him by his soon-to-be wife; as the anticipation builds while he waits at the head of the aisle, center of attention for his friends and family… Just like all of these moments, every wedding has a uniqueness that makes it feel completely different from any other. Some are soaked with tears; others are full with laughter; some are romantic and others are laidback. Kate and Taylor’s wedding was special too – it was EASY. Both the bride and groom told me that their goal was to create a day that was stress-free. They wanted to enjoy their friends and family in a place that was special to them (and absolutely gorgeous). They chose to forgo having a designated wedding party in favor of creating a relaxed atmosphere that was truly about this couple spending time with each other and with those they loved the most. Everyone had so much fun, and there was none of the last-minute stress about timeline, or a specific detail being perfect – it was just about having a lovely time, and they did. It was a joy to be a part of such a gorgeous and meaningful wedding, and I love that the photos convey the ease that Kate and Taylor have with each other.
