Judy and Dan’s wedding was seriously the best. This California couple planned a destination wedding overlooking the aqua waters of the Gulf of Mexico, at Destin’s Emerald Grande. Their families and friends traveled in and spent an unseasonably warm October weekend showering this couple with love. There was so much joy, from the happy tears shed as Judy slipped into her gown and her mother saw her as a bride for the first time, to the hilarious antics of the ring bearer (and wedding dog!), Kisho. This dog was seriously resplendent in his canine tuxedo, and I swear his pranced around with a puffed chest, proud of his appearance and ready to pose for pictures (evidence below in the photos!). Often, waterfront weddings feel very beachy, with aqua and blue dresses – and don’t get wrong, I love that! But Judy and Dan decided that their Emerald Grande wedding would be full of color; fuschias and purples were the perfect counterpoint to the blue skies and waves. The ballroom looked as stunning as I’ve ever seen it, draped with cream silky fabric and lush with lavish floral centerpieces (provided by the always-amazing Florals by the Sea). The dance floor was still packed when the clock ran out, and the love and laughter filled the entire room.
