Sarah and Adrian planned their downtown Pensacola wedding for October 7, which was the same evening that Hurricane decided to make landfall. Not knowing exactly how severe Pensacola would be affected, Sarah and Adrian gamely decided to carry on, and I am so glad they did! About eighty of their closest friends and family braved the winds and waters to celebrate with them, and NO ONE left early, dancing their hearts out while the storm worsened outside. Originally, Tiffany was scheduled to photograph their wedding – but since she lives pretty far out down the beach (and I was worried about her being able to safely drive home over bridges late in the night), I stepped in and am so happy to have been part of such a special day. Fortunately, Sarah and Adrian planned both their ceremony at reception at Palafox Wharf, a gorgeous historic venue on downtown Pensacola’s waterfront. Though the weather moved the ceremony indoors, we were still able to sneak outside for a few photos showcasing the water. Their candlelit reception was stunning, full of rich purple florals and the prettiest draped arbor. The toasts (but the couple’s best friends and family), were emotional and hilarious, and I realized while listening how much this couple was beloved by everyone in attendance. The couple was most concerned with visiting, hugging, thanking, and dancing with all of their guests, and it was truly a pleasure to be a part of such a special day for such a genuine couple.
