One thing I pride myself in is totally taking my job seriously, especially when it comes to weddings. I almost never take myself seriously, but I am aware that this day is only happening once. Let’s face it, if you’re getting married, and you’re planning a wedding, there is a TON of time and effort that goes into so many things to make the day go off the very best it possibly can. Occasionally, there are little…. let’s say “hiccups” in the plan. I feel it is my duty one hundred percent to adapt and thrive in that situation for each one of my clients. Such is the case with Nicole and Peter’s Pensacola Beach wedding just as Hurricane Nate decided to bless us with his presence. Hurricanes have interfered with many weddings I’ve photographed over the course of the years, but, I must say, Nicole, her wonderful mother, Peter, their family and friends were simply wonderful through what most would view as a crazy situation. Though they couldn’t have their ceremony on the beach, we were still able to snap a few of the couple in the category 1 storm and the groomsmen were all game for going out into the elements for some great shots. The crazy weather really was no match for the celebration of Nicole and Peter!
The Hilton Pensacola Beach did an amazing job of accommodating and working closely with them to ensure they could enjoy their day. The reception was full of great food, SO much dancing, and great times. This day was pretty special to me because Peter decided to “attempt” to lift me up (which I certainly appreciate his intentionJ) but due to the wet dance floor took a slip and we both went down. It was pretty amazing! Nicole and Peter, I’m so happy for you! Congratulations!
