Anyone who knows me knows that I am a big fan of having a plan for everything. I like to know the when, and where, and how for just about everything in my life. As it turns out this personality quirk is pretty useful as a wedding photographer – I can craft an absolutely magnificent photography schedule for a wedding day. But you know what they say about the best laid plans? They often go awry. And sometimes that magnificent schedule goes out the door, and we fly by the seat of our pants because no one (not even wedding photographers!) can control everything, least of all the weather. Aneliya and Ira’s wedding day ended up being one of those where the plan went right out the window, because who could have a predicted a freak rainstorm popping up at the very time we were doing wedding party and family portraits. I will let you in on a not so secret little secret though – I love a rainy-day wedding, having had one myself. While it might not have been exactly the plan we had in mind, the day was no less beautiful, and will certainly make for pretty great memories and stories for years to come.
Ira and Aneliya, I am pretty confident in saying I think you both found your person to weather whatever storms may come. I so loved being a part of your wedding day, thank you.
