April + Amy – Wedding

Small weekday weddings are one of my very favorite types events to photograph. There is just something so romantic about the idea of pledging your life and love to each other surrounded only by the people closest to you. I also love photographing larger scale events full of flowers and pretty details though, because…well…flowers and pretty details! Amy and April’s intimate Monday evening wedding on the sugar white sands of Pensacola Beach was the perfect combination of both of those types of weddings, and such a joy to photograph. With the help of their families and the wonderfully talented people at Fiore and Your Dream Beach Wedding, they planned the prettiest beach ceremony followed by an amazing, al fresco family dinner (prepared by Amy’s family!) and reception. It was so lovely to see how much time, effort, and love they and their families put into planning the perfect day. Hands down though, my favorite detail was the beautiful three tier cake covered in the most gorgeous sugar flowers I have ever seen. Amy’s mom, who is not a professional baker and had never made a wedding cake OR sugar flowers before, created it for them!!

Amy and April, thank you so much for trusting me to photograph your dream wedding. It was absolutely magical and I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to meet both of you. Cheers to your beautiful new life together!
