Have I written recently about how much I love Pensacola? It’s seriously the best. It’s a city large enough to matter and offer opportunities, both professional and artistic, but it’s still small enough to both walk the downtown in 30 minutes and run into a neighbor every time you go to the grocery store. It has some seriously incredible beaches (I’ve seen some beaches all over the world, and I’m confident that the sugar white sands and aqua waters right here can compete with the best), but is also rich in history that goes back to 1559 (even before St. Augustine was founded, for those of you who are keeping track). Pensacola’s downtown is thriving and vibrant, with boat-filled marinas, historic brick structures, diverse restaurants and gorgeous parks shaded by century-old live oaks. But you know my very part of downtown Pensacola? Our studio is right smack in the middle of it, and we can offer our clients all of these amazing backdrops without ever having to step foot in a car.
Jessie and Willie’s engagement session is a great example of this. They arrived one evening and we spent a lovely hour strolling around the streets surrounding our studio. I love how these photos capture their relationship, which was full of laughter and excitement, all against the background of downtown Pensacola.
