Stephanie + Reggie – Wedding

I have a soft spot in my heart for rainy day weddings, having had one myself, but as the days ticked down to Stephanie and Reggie’s wedding I realized I hadn’t obsessed over the weather so much since the week leading up to my own wedding. I checked my weather app constantly, bemoaned what I was sure would be torrential weather to my coworkers, bought extra large umbrellas, scoured Pinterest for rainy day wedding picture inspiration, and finally broke down in nervous tears the night before their wedding. The next morning however, I woke up to sunshine and thought to myself, “It is going to be a good day.” As it turns out, it wasn’t a good day. It was in fact, a perfect day. Upon our arrival at the salon that morning Stephanie was nothing but smiles and as the hours passed I was struck by how calm and unconcerned their friends and family were by the weather. What they were concerned with was celebrating and soaking in every moment of Stephanie, and Reggie’s wedding day. From the sweet backyard beach ceremony and vows that had me tearing up behind my camera, to an amazing cupcake tree and a dance floor that was full all night it couldn’t have been a more joyful day in celebration of two people so clearly meant for each other.

Stephanie and Reggie, cheers to finding someone to both run free and stand still with. It is going to be a beautiful life! Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being a part of your wedding day!
