Abby + Jason – Wedding

Abby and Jason are pretty great as individuals. Abby is funny and outspoken – the kind of girl who isn’t afraid to laugh at herself, make funny faces, and call it like she sees it. Basically, she is my spirit animal. Jason is pretty great as well. When you speak with him, he comes across as interested and intelligent, but most all, genuine. But when these two individuals come together, they make a couple that is exponentially more awesome than their already-pretty-great selves. They just match.

Where Abby is gregarious, Jason is thoughtful. Abby shrugged and giggled her way through the emotions of the early wedding day; Jason teared up whenever he thought of his bride. And at the end of the evening, when most couples either crash from exhaustion or head to a wild afterparty, Abby and Jason asked their driver to take them to the Fish House – so they could have dinner together. And that’s the image I hold in my mind, of Abby in her wedding gown and Jason in his tux, sipping wine and eating the first of what will be many quiet dinners together.

This beautiful friendship was most apparent during the First Look. Abby asked me to deliver a message to Jason just before he saw her (I told him that he “better hold it together!”), which made Jason laugh like it was a private joke. And despite my warning, he did not, in fact, hold it together. His reaction upon seeing Abby was incredibly sweet – he clasped his hands (as though saying “thank you!”), then proceeded to give her the biggest, loveliest hug. I’m pretty sure there were some tears involved as well.
